INCANTO is a classical music crossover duo comprising of French-Canadian tenor, Christian Sauvageau and his wife, soprano, Sahara Sloan.
Both Christian and Sahara got their start in music at an early age and continued their passion through to post-secondary studies (McGill University, Université de Montréal & The Royal Conservatory of Music).
Their mutual passion brought them together in 2012, meeting during a workshop performance of a modern Canadian opera Évangéline (written by 80s pop star Colin Doroschuk – Men Without Hats) where they fell in love on stage and off.
Although now a couple, they continued their careers separately; Christian singing with his classical a cappella quartet Quartom and Sahara singing in opera houses across France. Wanting to capitalize on their versatility as performers as well as their magnetic chemistry they decided to come together in 2018 to form INCANTO.
Equally as comfortable in the pop genre as they are in classical, Christian and Sahara have taken their love story back to the main stage through performing their favourite arias, duets and classic crossover hits.
